Don Landis, a noted expert on olive curing, will lead the workshop, taking you through the history of olives in California and teaching you how to cure Greek-style olives without using lye. Join a “Dave & Bill Hike” along the Sonoma Ridge Trail at Jack London State Historic Park on Saturday (12/10) at 10 a.m. (meet at 9:45 in the upper parking lot). The moderate 8-mile hike will take approximately five hours, so be sure to bring lunch, layered clothing, water, and wear sturdy shoes. The hike will proceed rain or shine.
