Sebastiani Theatre presents a holiday open house from 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 26). Guests can view the theater’s expansive winter wonderland holiday display from lobby to stage created by volunteer designer Susan Bellach of Kenwood. Refreshments served. Free. The Epicurean Connection presents live music each Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with the Cork Pullers performing from 7:30-10 p.m. Friday (Dec. 28). The cheese shop, café and beer and wine bar is located at 122 W. Napa St., just off Sonoma Plaza. Information: 935-7960.

The 113th Audubon Christmas Bird Count is from dawn to dusk Friday (Dec. 28) throughout Sonoma Valley. Birders will gather from Glen Ellen to Schellville to count bird species, ranked among the best in the U.S. Past teams have recorded nearly 200 bird species, some of them new or rare birds. Data becomes part of a national census that rolls up to National Audubon. Sponsored by Sonomabirding.com and the Sonoma Community Center. Potluck dinner and tabulation follows in Andrews Hall at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E. Napa St. Information: sonomabirding.com.

Sonoma Girl Scouts begins its Christmas tree recycling program Saturday (Dec. 29) and Sunday (Dec. 30) throughout Sonoma Valley. The suggested donation is $10 per tree; preferred payment is by check (left under doormats) payable to Sonoma Girl Scouts. Trees, free of stands and all decorations, should be at curbside by 9 a.m. Those in condos or apartments should attach a note to the tree directing girls to the residence number for payments under doormats. Wreaths, garland and flocked trees aren’t accepted. Only residents in rural areas should call for pick-up. Trees will be removed by 6 p.m. each day. The program continues Jan. 5, 6, 12 and 13.
